Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a gentle, rhythmic massage technique designed to support the body’s lymphatic system. This treatment helps encourage the movement of lymph fluid, reduce swelling, and promote relaxation and overall wellness.
MLD may be beneficial for:
Post-surgical or post-injury swelling
Lymphedema management (where appropriate)
Chronic inflammation or fluid retention
General stress reduction and nervous system calming
This is a light-pressure treatment focused on specific movement patterns rather than deep tissue work. Your Registered Massage Therapist will tailor the session to your individual needs and comfort level.
Please note: This appointment is provided by a Registered Massage Therapist and may be eligible for extended health benefits under massage therapy, depending on your plan.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin needles through your skin at strategic points on your body, no drug is injected. A key component of traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture is most commonly used to treat pain. The needles alone create the beneficial effects of acupuncture. Acupuncture is used to encourage natural healing, improve mood and energy, reduce or relieve pain and improve function of affected areas of the body. All of our practitioners are all registered with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture of BC, ready to work with you towards your ultimate health goal.
